Beach Huts, Herbrand Walk, Coden, East Sussex.
January 26th, 2026 the air is still and cold….The sky is leaden grey and seems endless…Stones are piled up towards
the huts pushed by the sea as it surges forwards and backwards.

Bexhill beach…Tide is out two people are fishing the English Channel.

Groynes stand like small soldiers protecting the beach from the onslaught of the sea.

De La Warr Pavilion, Bexhill.

Lifeguard hut. Bexhill.

Bexhill On Sea.

Chairs and table waiting for winter custom….But everyone was huddled in the cafe. Finishing off in colour.
Great series mate. The De La Warr Pavilion is one of my favourite buildings in Britain, and Art Deco masterpiece.
Cheers, Pete.

Many thanks….I just went for something to do…When I arrived the tide was right out, but the grey made it gloomy so I over exposed the shots by 1 stop…In a bizarre way I quite like the austere vibe at the coast and in the mountains this time of the year.
