Last week (commencing 1st June) I popped up to the north of England to principally photograph landscapes.
Overall the weather was not in my favour – wet and windy – I did get some nice landscape photos that I may share later on…But I tried something different for a change…I’ve always had a hankering to photograph Puffins…So a boat trip from Seahouses and a one hour landing on the Farne islands was booked. Nikon Z8 and the 180/600 lens.

A few days later I drove down to North Yorkshire / Flamborough Head / Bempton Cliffs…Here you find a large colony of seabirds nesting and zooming along the cliffs.

The white chalk cliffs at Bempton / Flamborough Head. Although it is hard to see there are literally thousands of birds sitting on micro ledges on the cliff face. All rather guano smelly.

This gives me in full frame terms 18mm, 35mm and 50mm field of views.
Fuji RAF’s processed in Photoshop ACR using Adobe landscape colour profile.
Four nights in this little gem of a city. Mooching about eating drinking and of course some photography.
This was my second visit, next time I must try it in the depths winter.
All images taken with the Fuji X100vi and the Viltrox lens adaptors. By using these screw on adaptors I can have an 18mm, 35mm and 50mm camera pretty handy accessories for minimal outlay. As there are quite a few photos I have placed them in a gallery you will see the thumbnails below. They are not in any particular order.
For the photographers out there…RAF files processed in ACR with Adobe Landscape colour profile only the black n white images are from the camera jpegs.

In no particular order….15 photos taken over the last week…Ordinary, Boring, Artistic and probably not bucolic…You chose. For some reason they resonated with me…Often it’s nothing more than…Ahhh, I quite like that.

Up at 0200 hrs drive to my friends house and depart his place at 0300. 2.5hrs later we arrive just before pre dawn at Portland Bill in Dorset…Later on that day we drove to nearby Weymouth for a walk along the beach and harbour.

Personally I prefer this one because of the foreground rocks and you can see the obelisk thats perched on the edge.

Pulpit Rock…At the end of the bill are some short cliffs and large ledges where the sea crashes into the land.
Not a place to fall or slip…However there was no real drama in the sea. Long exposure shot..So so on this occasion.
