Farne Islands & Bempton Cliffs.

Last week (commencing 1st June) I popped up to the north of England to principally photograph landscapes.
Overall the weather was not in my favour – wet and windy – I did get some nice landscape photos that I may share later on…But I tried something different for a change…I’ve always had a hankering to photograph Puffins…So a boat trip from Seahouses and a one hour landing on the Farne islands was booked. Nikon Z8 and the 180/600 lens.

A few days later I drove down to North Yorkshire / Flamborough Head / Bempton Cliffs…Here you find a large colony of seabirds nesting and zooming along the cliffs.

The white chalk cliffs at Bempton / Flamborough Head. Although it is hard to see there are literally thousands of birds sitting on micro ledges on the cliff face. All rather guano smelly.
