I was mooching about on the South Downs and came upon a path that I had not tried before.
I quite like the farm in the large landscape.
At the end it more or less brought me to this spot. Quite popular with tourists and locals.
You get commanding views of the Downs and the huge white chalk cliffs.
A couple of ladies protecting themselves from the hot sun.
Beachy Head Lighthouse below the tall cliffs acting as a warning to shiping in the English Channel.
The rope is there to indicate that the edge is close by and not to chance your luck to much as bits quite often fall off.
Empty chairs waiting for their patrons at the Eastbourne Bandstand.
Similar to the shot above but this is on the upper level, more abstract.
The flower gardens in front of Eastbourne Pier.
Once you start walking onto the Pier. The seafront opens up. It was quite windy and as the clouds rolled across the sky
the sun illuminated the buildings intermittently. Left hand side of the pier view.
As above but this time it’s the right hand side view.
A windbreak, common feature on English beaches as its always breezy.
A couple soaking up the late June rays of sunshine.
East Dean, the white building is the Tiger Inn on the right side.

Probably my favourite shot of the weekend. Light streams through the window illuminating the golden cross on the
green cloth with the light rays touching the top of the pews.

Looking at these at early morning coffee time right across the world . . . odd that to me my usually much beloved b/w photos all concurrently seem to show cold temperatures and the colour ones denote the warmth really there at the moment . . . it may be me, it may be how they come across . . . nice to get to know the area anyways . . . 🙂 !

Re black n white / cold – interesting….I use it in the summer when there is high contrast light or when the landscape looks bleached and I typically over expose the shot (not always). All down to one’s artistic interpretations –

We are okay. Both wilted in the heat last Friday, I actually had to have a lie down for 3 hours in the afternoon! I felt my age that day. But we have bounced back this week mate.
