Sunday 22nd…Early Morning Walk.

Below are a set of images I took this morning using the Fuji X100vi. Mainly in and around the City of London
there are a couple taken on the fringes of the West End. Nothing to special, some colour, some high contrast black and white.

The Guildhall.
If your willing to pop out early on a Sunday morning the place is devoid of humans.

Modern buildings…They are ok up to a point but compared to architecture of yesteryear…Quite frankly uninspiring
lumps of glass and steel.

A high contrast black and white scene.

Tall, colourful glass and steel looming over the old terraced buildings below.

Old Italian cafe rubbing shoulders with the the new Thai next door.

The “10” reminded me of computer ones and zeros..binary.

Another high contrast scene.

Barbican Tunnel…Beech Street.

Long Lane looking towards Smithfield Meat Market.

Apart from the red triangle created by the footpath closed sign and the 2x red traffic cones. London is constantly being maintained and upgraded. The yellow signs indicate parking restrictions..Sadly London like most places have homeless people sleeping rough in doorways and alleyways. Here we can see a blue sleeping bag and a cushion.

  1. The number of times I have been through that tunnel at the Barbican! The 4th from the bottom, ‘high contrast scene’, is my favourite. So good, it could easily be a film poster, or book cover. Very futuristic, and almost scary!

    Best wishes, Pete.

    1. Hi, thanks for the feed back….I never thought of the film poster look…But now you mentioned it…Sort of 1970’s touch..John Shaft…All the best Antony.
