Four nights in this little gem of a city. Mooching about eating drinking and of course some photography.
This was my second visit, next time I must try it in the depths winter.
All images taken with the Fuji X100vi and the Viltrox lens adaptors. By using these screw on adaptors I can have an 18mm, 35mm and 50mm camera pretty handy accessories for minimal outlay. As there are quite a few photos I have placed them in a gallery you will see the thumbnails below. They are not in any particular order.
For the photographers out there…RAF files processed in ACR with Adobe Landscape colour profile only the black n white images are from the camera jpegs.

Great crop of photos mate. The night shots were particularly effective. Brough back memories of our short trip to Prague in 2011 for Julie’s birthday. I really liked it there.
Cheers, Pete.

A great gallery – I am particularly intrigued by the Charles bridge reflection in water (Prague May 2026_DSF2149) how did you get that? (BTW your font on this site is very, very tiny, I’m fine with small print but there will be many others who will struggle to read the text).

Re the font..Ok..I will increase the size.
That is a long exposure shot…I think it was about 2 mins long…You have to put a 10 stop filter on the lens to force the camera to give you a longer exposure.
Do you want to know the steps ?

I’ll leave the technical details to you, but thanks for asking. It’s a great shot.

Re the font I did try and increase the size..But it made the text all mushy…I will ask Pete for some advice.

I’m not sure Pete will be able to help, he is a bit of a technophobe 🤯 the font is probably built into the theme you have chosen.

Thank you for the walk around . . . know most parts of Europe well but have not been to Prague . . . agree with Pete about your night-time photos > you manage a wonderful sense of mystery in quite a few . . .,

Many thanks for the comment. The back streets below the castle area have a kind of charismatic medievalist feel.
All the best.

What a wonderful selection of photos! I too like the night shots and the black and whites, but they are all lovely. Prague is obviously a beautiful city. Yes, I think in Winter it would be sensational!

Prague is a very photogenic location, and I enjoyed my visit there many years ago for my nephew’s wedding. I would be very happy to visit again any time [although rather you than I in winter: I abhor the cold now]. Cheers, Jon.

Re the cold…As I’ve been there twice…The only way to get some real moody atmosphere and only do black and white photos would be to visit in the winter.
All the best.

A lovely city I would like to see. My daughter was lucky enough to go there on a school trip when they were doing A Levels.
